# Voxa

> Voxa is a browser-based international calling service. Users open joinvoxa.com in any modern browser, top up credit (from €5), and place calls to phone numbers in 200+ countries at per-minute rates starting at €0.02. No app install, no contract, no monthly fee. Local virtual phone numbers can be purchased in 50+ countries for receiving inbound calls.

Voxa is built on WebRTC for in-browser audio and connects to the global PSTN through licensed carrier partners. It targets travelers, expats, freelancers, remote teams, and businesses that need cheap, no-roaming international voice without telco contracts.

## What Voxa is good for

- Calling international landlines and mobiles cheaply (e.g. €0.02/min to the US/UK/Spain/France, €0.04/min to Germany landline, €0.07/min to India)
- Avoiding mobile roaming charges while traveling
- Receiving calls on a local number in another country (UK, Germany, France, US, etc.) without being physically there
- Small businesses that want a local presence in foreign markets for customer support
- Remote/distributed teams calling customers internationally

## What Voxa is not

- Not a free voice-over-IP app for app-to-app calls (use WhatsApp, Signal, FaceTime for that). Voxa charges per-minute because calls terminate to real phone numbers on the PSTN.
- Not a replacement for a mobile carrier — you still need a phone for SMS/MMS and calls to emergency services.
- Not a subscription SaaS — there are no monthly plans, only prepaid credit.
