Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Voxa service available at joinvoxa.com ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Voxa ("we", "us", "our").

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including individuals and businesses. Where you are accepting on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Voxa provides a browser-based Voice over IP (VoIP) calling service that enables users to make outbound telephone calls to landlines and mobile numbers worldwide directly from a web browser. The Service operates on a prepaid credit system with per-minute billing in euros (EUR). No software installation or dedicated hardware is required.

The Service is designed for outbound calling only. Voxa does not currently provide inbound telephone numbers, call forwarding, voicemail, or emergency calling services.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher
• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
• Keep your registration information up to date
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
• Not share your account with any third party
• Notify us immediately at support@joinvoxa.com of any unauthorised use of your account

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including all calls made and charges incurred. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account.

We reserve the right to refuse registration or suspend any account at our discretion, including accounts that provide false or misleading information.

4. Credits, Billing, and Refunds

4.1 Credit System

The Service operates on a prepaid credit basis. All credits and balances are denominated in euros (EUR). You must purchase credits before making calls. The minimum top-up amount is €5.

4.2 Billing

• Calls are billed per minute, rounded up to the nearest whole minute. A call of 1 minute and 1 second is billed as 2 minutes.
• Ring time (before the call is answered) is not billed. Billing begins when the destination answers and ends when the call is terminated.
• Rates vary by destination country and number type (landline or mobile). Current rates are published at joinvoxa.com/rates.
• Rates are subject to change. We will provide at least 7 days' notice of rate changes via email or a notice on joinvoxa.com.
• Credits are deducted from your balance in real time during each call.

4.3 Credit Expiry

Credits do not expire as long as your account remains active and in good standing. We define an "active" account as one that has had at least one login or call activity within the preceding 12 months. Accounts with no activity for more than 12 consecutive months may have their remaining credit forfeited after 30 days' written notice to the registered email address.

4.4 Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on unused credit balances for new accounts. If you are not satisfied with the Service within the first 30 days of your first credit purchase, contact us at support@joinvoxa.com and we will refund your unused balance in full.

After the initial 30-day period, credits are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law, or where a service interruption caused by Voxa materially impacted your ability to use the Service.

4.5 Payment Security

All payments are processed by PCI-compliant third-party payment processors. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or abuse any person
• Transmit spam, unsolicited commercial communications, robocalls, or automated dialling campaigns
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation, including telecommunications laws in the countries you are calling
• Impersonate any person, organisation, or entity
• Engage in fraudulent activity, including call fraud, subscription fraud, or payment fraud
• Attempt to disrupt, disable, overload, or gain unauthorised access to our systems or infrastructure
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our prior written permission
• Use any automated means to access or use the Service beyond its intended purpose
• Attempt to circumvent any rate limits, usage controls, or fraud prevention measures

Violations of this section may result in immediate account suspension without notice and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement. We reserve the right to recover from you any costs, losses, or damages incurred as a result of your violation of this policy.

6. Call Quality and Service Limitations

Call quality depends on factors outside our control, including your internet connection speed and stability, network congestion between your device and our servers, and the quality of the destination carrier's infrastructure. We do not guarantee specific call quality, connection rates, or latency.

We strive to maintain high service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, or events beyond our reasonable control (including force majeure events) may result in service interruptions. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned maintenance where practicable.

Certain destinations may have limited availability or higher failure rates due to local carrier restrictions. Rates and availability for all destinations are listed at joinvoxa.com/rates.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, source code, and technology associated with the Voxa Service — including the joinvoxa.com website — is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not reproduce, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Voxa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption — arising from your use or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount of credits you purchased from us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support@joinvoxa.com. Upon closure, your ability to make calls will cease immediately. Any unused credit balance at the time of closure is non-refundable except where the 30-day money-back guarantee applies (see section 4.4) or where required by law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without prior notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. In cases of suspension for suspected fraudulent activity, we will investigate and notify you of the outcome within 14 days.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law. We aim to resolve all disputes informally in the first instance — please contact us at legal@joinvoxa.com before initiating formal proceedings.

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 7 days' notice of material changes via email to your registered address and by posting a notice on joinvoxa.com. Your continued use of the Service after the stated effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may close your account before the effective date.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
